Takoma Park's Mayor & Council will hold a public hearing on a request for a traffic calming project on Fifth Avenue, between Orchard and Eastern Avenues, next
Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 7:30 PM at 7500 Maple Avenue. A neighborhood petition obtained the required number of signatures to trigger the public hearing.
The three proposed speed bumps and two bump-outs would cost taxpayers an estimated $8000. A vote on the matter will be held in May.
Safer streets, at a cost of $2 per taxpayer. A bargain!
