Montgomery County police responded to a report of a bank robbery in progress in Wheaton Friday morning, August 15, 2025. The robbery was reported at a bank in the 11200 block of Georgia Avenue at 9:15 AM Friday. Someone was also allegedly assaulted during the robbery attempt. There is a Capital One bank on that block at 11241 Georgia Avenue.
