Ellsworth Place mall has now reached a long-term, final lease agreement with Payless. The shoe retailer will occupy a 3332 SF space on the mall's second level. Trendy Nails has also agreed to open a 1310 SF salon on Level 3. Both businesses are expected to open this summer.
Payless ShoeSource gives Ellsworth Place yet another highly-recognizable brand name to draw customers to its newly-renovated yet historic building. “This addition is another in our commitment to the thoughtful rebranding and revitalization of downtown Silver Spring’s premier retail center,” said Terry Richardson, president and COO of Petrie Richardson Ventures, which owns the mall along with Rockwood Capital, on Wednesday. “We welcome Payless to the community and to our growing roster of new tenants that offer everything from entertainment and dining to arts, crafts and fashion.”
In other Ellsworth Place news, Forever 21 Red has requested its construction permit for the buildout of its store interior at the property.
This spring, popular American chain restaurant Not Your Average Joe's and Michael's are scheduled to open. Perhaps the most highly-anticipated 2016 opening at Ellsworth Place is Dave and Buster's.
