The mystery of which space in Olney Village Center will become the
future IHOP restaurant appears to be solved. Several sources have told me that Cheeburger Cheeburger will close there at the end of this month. They reportedly have sent an announcement of the closing plans to those on their mailing list.
"Several sources have told me that Cheeburger Cheeburger will close there at the end of this month."
ReplyDeleteYeah, sure... like your "sources" told you that Kaldi's was closing, and that Tastee Diner was selling out to Marriott. Haven't you had enough humiliation for just two months, Dyer?
8:44: Kaldi's WAS the source, when they themselves ANNOUNCED ONLINE that they were "closing their doors," and holding a "complete liquidation" auction.
DeleteTastee Diner did indeed reach an agreement, but Woodmont Grill declined to sell, thereby making the Tastee site irrelevant.
No, there was no agreement. Everyone involved made that clear, including Tastee and Marriott themselves.
DeleteKaldi's wasn't "the source." You pulled the info from an auction company website that isn't at all affiliated w/Kaldi's or their ownership/management. And, as w/Tastee, reality has proven you wrong.
Why do you feel compelled to lie when the facts are there for everyone to see?
1:07: You lie, then call me a liar. Hysterical. It was Kaldi's auction. They embarrassed themselves, but that doesn't mean you have to embarrass yourself on top of it.
DeleteNo party has ever confirmed such an agreement publicly during negotiations. But at the public meeting last week, my report was confirmed by Marriott, who said they now had no use for Tastee with Woodmont Grill refusing to sell. Tastee had agreed, WG did not. Game. Set. Match.
I know you're frustrated because your team didn't have the inside sources. Get over it.
Why make up that you have "sources," Robert? You're not the NYT; you don't have sources. Just say that it appears IHOP will be replacing Cheeseburger Cheeseburger, but there's been no official word yet. It's not that hard.
ReplyDeleteDyer has the best sources across his MoCo news network.
Delete12:16: If I have no sources, why did I have the most-plagiarized scoop of the year about Tastee Diner and Marriott? Even your beloved New York Times, which wrote about Marriott, didn't have the sources I had on the inside. Baba Booey.
Delete...the "facts" from your "sources" about Tastee Diner were proven to be fabricated.
Delete1:04: Laughable. You obviously weren't at the meeting when Marriott confirmed my reporting all along had been correct. The only things fabricated are your comment and your masculinity.
DeleteRobert. You write a small blog. It is of no consequence. I can not believe how vigorously you defend a personal compilation of drivel.
ReplyDeleteAnd where is the mighty John MacArthur Blog, John? You're commenting on a scoop I had about IHOP coming to Olney. I beat the "competition" on that bigly. Taking potshots at people who are actually getting things done certainly isn't consequential.
