After kicking in a glass panel at the front of the restaurant, the jovial burglar allegedly stole money and fled from the scene. But not before being caught on the surveillance camera. We haven't seen such a methodical theft of cash since the $7 million County government embezzlement scheme.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this burglary is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710. To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspect. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
Having random, unrelated editorial comments in the middle of a crime report, for which the subject is still at large, is really unprofessional.

Where are the "random" comments? The suspect is smiling in the photo, and the Council is soft-on-crime. Facts.
DeleteYou come across as a gleeful dolt anytime something bad happens, Robert. It's really immature and unbecoming. Quit running for office and giving Republicans a bad name if you're just going to be a sideshow tool.
ReplyDelete1:14: The only guy in the local media who will actually print the truth about Montgomery County government and the MoCo cartel is a "dolt?" LOL
DeleteIf so, what do you call the "reporters" who spent the last week praising the Council on one nothingburger proposal after another, as the County continues to crater in every measurable area from crime to education to transportation and economic development?
When I ran in 2010 and 2014, none of my opponents was speaking about early education at all, while I was proposing universal Pre-K. After the 2014 election, Riemer and some others put forward similar messages, but with light proposals that don't actually solve anything.
Yet the local press was "wowed" by a smoke and mirrors proposal this week that not only doesn't provide universal Pre-K, but what little it does is almost exclusively tiny and OUTSIDE OF MCPS. Half of it is giving unvetted people Montgomery College cereal box "diplomas" to provide child care in private homes or facilities.
This is not what MoCo needs for success, but will likely continue the sexual abuse that the super, BOE and Council seem to have no problem with.
Interesting that a Republican is the only one who actually read the state audit that exposed major safety and security flaws in MCPS that threatens students' privacy and safety, and wrote a response to it.
Along with my 1000s of hours of activism at my own expense over more than a decade, I indeed give a very good name to Republicans.
What does any of this have to do with your immature "reporting" of a small business being burgled? You take someone's crappy day and try and spin it into a joke and twist it to fit your personal vendetta against council members who keep embarrassing you in elections. Grow up, Robert.
Delete12:24: Did Putin embarrass his opponents in the Russian elections? Did Maduro embarrass his opponents in the Venezuelan "elections?" LOL
DeleteBeing a dictator who controls the election is hardly a measure of talent.
My "immature" reporting is drawing needed attention to your incompetent, soft-on-crime bosses on the Council. The crooks are laughing at our low-energy Council. Super low energy!
Who is this "dictator who controls the election" in Montgomery County?
Delete5:32: We have a cartel of multiple dictators who are behind the Council, and working in unison. They are in the development and non-profit fields, and in certain of the unions. They are in collusion with local media, most notably the Washington Post and Washingtonian magazine. Together, they control MoCo elections.
