Construction of the Atwell on Spring apartments continues at 8787 Georgia Avenue in downtown Silver Spring. This was formerly the site of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and Montgomery County Planning Department, which have moved to Wheaton. The mixed-use development will include 375 rental apartments, of which 47 will be affordable. Several units along the Spring Street side of the property will be townhouse-style homes. Ground floor retail will be anchored by a 17,300-square-foot MOM's Organic Market. Development partners Bozzuto, Stonebridge, and Griffin Capital anticipate an early 2024 delivery.
