A number of retail and restaurant tenants at Ellsworth Place mall in downtown Silver Spring have gotten sharper, more visible signage along streetscapes outside the building. The mall is currently undergoing a total renovation expected to be completed by Spring 2016.
Oh the horror of disfiguring the historic Hecht's façade. Kidding. New signs and jumbo trons are bright, but an improvement over the prior signs.
ReplyDeleteI agree that they're kinda on the bright/gaudy side, but still an improvement. The new mall entrances look sharp, as well.
ReplyDeleteI love the jumbotron, but I wish they'd actually use it for something other than boring PSAs. They didn't even use it to broadcast the Thanksgiving Day parade, which seems just really wrong.
