Wheaton Lot 13 redevelopment update (Photos)

The new Montgomery County government office building project at Lot 13 in the Wheaton Triangle is now five floors above street level. Column construction is complete up through the ones that support the fifth floor from the fourth. Completion of concrete pours for the fifth floor is expected by early next week, weather permitting.

Electrical work is beginning down in the underground garage, as well as masonry, door frames, piping, and sprinkler system installation. County officials report that the project remains on-schedule for a May 2020 delivery, and Summer 2020 occupancy by government agencies, including the Maryland National Capital Park & Planning Commission. The new Wheaton Town Square is also scheduled to be completed at the same time.
