Charleys Cheesesteaks opening in Four Corners in Silver Spring

Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings is coming to Four Corners in Silver Spring. The Ohio-based Philly cheesesteak chain is opening a new store at 10125 Colesville Road, at the Woodmoor Shopping Center. That space was previously home to The UPS Store. Construction is anticipated to begin in the coming weeks. This sounds like it will be a popular spot for students at Montgomery Blair High School across the road, and the wings are a bonus, as not every Charleys location offers them.

Construction permits issued by Montgomery County are posted in the front window, indicating that the interior fit-out for the restaurant is underway.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe to open in Four Corners

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is coming to the Four Corners area of Silver Spring. The store will be at 10141 Colesville Road, in the Woodmoor Shopping Center. It will be in a high-profile space at the corner of Colesville and University Boulevard, and should do a great business being located so close to Montgomery Blair High School.

Hoover-Fisher Florist relocates to Kensington

Hoover-Fisher Florist has moved to Kensington. Formerly in the Woodmoor Shopping Center in the Four Corners neighborhood of Silver Spring, the family-owned business has relocated to 4100 Howard Avenue, on the west side of Connecticut Avenue near the CSX tracks. Celebrating over 60 years in business, the florist shop has more space, as well as a gift shop with non-floral items for all occasions.
