Silver Spring construction update: Ripley East (Photos)

Extensive excavation has been completed since my last update on Ripley East, a future apartment tower located at 8384 Georgia Avenue. Ripley East will house 360 apartments, and a significant 17000 SF of retail space.

CONSTRUCTION WORKER DIES AFTER FALL IN GLENMONT

A construction worker was pronounced dead at the scene after a fall in the Poplar Run area of Glenmont this morning, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Public Information Officer Scott Graham. Montgomery County Police are investigating.
