SILVER SPRING MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HIS 2-YEAR-OLD SON

Adou Louis Kouadio

Adou Louis Kouadio, of the 9700 block of Dilston Road in Silver Spring, has been charged with one count of attempted second degree murder, and two counts of first degree child abuse.  The victim? Amir Iman-Kouadio, his own two-month-old son.

Montgomery County Police said Kouadio called 911, and his son, suffering from traumatic injuries, was transported to a hospital. Eventually police were called while the child was being treated at Children's Hospital. Kouadio allegedly could not account for the boy's severe injuries, and turned himself into the police yesterday. According to the Washington Post, the child is being kept alive on life support.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK ON COLESVILLE ROAD NEAR DOWNTOWN SILVER SPRING

John Skelton Williams of Silver Spring was struck while crossing Colesville Road just north of Noyes Drive this morning around 9:30 AM.

He was transported to Suburban Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Montgomery County Police.

Police say he was struck by a silver Honda Accord driven by Dennis Stewart, of Columbia. Mr. Stewart has not been declared at fault yet, and police are investigating.
