FIRE DAMAGES HENDERSON AVENUE HOME IN GLENMONT

A house fire in the 2600 block of Henderson Avenue yesterday caused $40,000 in damage, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services. One occupant was said to have sustained minor injuries, but all were alerted by smoke detectors, and were able to flee the Glenmont home.

Fire investigators' initial conclusion was that an electrical malfunction led to the blaze.
