Patient First opens in Silver Spring, and there's no shortage of patients (Photos)

Patient First opened its doors on a holiday weekend in downtown Silver Spring. But while streets and public spaces around Montgomery County were less crowded than usual due to global cooling, on New Year's Eve the new emergency clinic at 8206 Georgia Avenue was as busy as Times Square.

Patients streamed in and out, as the area suffers from a particularly nasty and early flu outbreak that has mostly evaded this year's weak flu vaccine. One parent carried a child from a vehicle into the clinic, which had some visible advertising in the Washington Post stressing its nighttime hours. Patient First is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Patient First and other similar clinics have proven popular where they have opened here, and in Rockville and Gaithersburg.

Are you playing a game of "how many dumb as fuck things can I fit into one post," Robert?

The photos show a total of four "patients". Two shown sitting in the clinic in Photos #1 and #2, a man entering in Photo #1 then leaving with a female companion in Photo #2.
