HAZMAT TEAM RESPONDS TO WOMAN'S CLAIM SHE HAS EBOLA AT WHEATON PLAZA

A Montgomery County hazmat team was called to Wheaton Plaza Thursday night, after a woman screamed she had Ebola in the mall. The outburst came as police were attempting to arrest her on an unrelated charge. It is not yet determined whether her apparent false claim of having the disease will result in additional charges, NBC Washington reported.

EBOLA VACCINE TESTING IN SILVER SPRING

The Associated Press reports that testing of an experimental Ebola vaccine is now underway at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring. 40 volunteers have signed up to test the Canadian-developed vaccine. New Link Genetics has licensed the vaccine for use in America, but it will likely be tried first in Africa.
