Guavaberry, a Dominican restaurant, will open at 8417 Georgia Avenue in downtown Silver Spring later this year, according to a banner posted on the front of the building. This is the former home of The Greek Place, which recently closed. Nearly as big news, though, is that the letter E dropped off the Greek Place sign, and is nowhere to be found. It was hanging down a few weeks ago, but this apparently it for the fifth letter of the alphabet.
