Montgomery County police were called to a bar in downtown Silver Spring Thursday night, September 18, 2025, after someone reported their pocket had been picked there. The theft was reported at a bar in the 8100 block of Georgia Avenue at 10:56 PM Thursday. Wallets are best stored in a front pocket, especially in crowded spaces. Always be alert for attempts to distract you while someone else grabs your wallet.
