Yet another violent crime was committed in broad daylight Saturday afternoon in Silver Spring, a disturbing 2026 trend in Montgomery County. The adult male victim in this case was walking in the 8700 block of Georgia Avenue at 2:59 PM, when he was approached from behind by the adult male suspect. After striking the victim in the head from behind with a handgun, the suspect took unspecified property from him, and fled the scene on foot. Police have not released a description of the suspect as of this writing.
