Montgomery County police are investigating a triple shooting that took place early this morning in the White Oak area of Silver Spring. The shooting was reported at 1:51 AM in the 11900 block of Bournefield Way. That is not a residential street, but an office park with tenants ranging from healthcare providers and banking, to drug rehab facilities and commercial cleaning services. Officers arriving at the scene found two adults and a minor suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were transported to local hospitals, where one is in serious-but-stable condition, and the other two are in good condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives say all three victims were drawn to the area by a pre-organized "outdoor meetup" event with many attendees. They say a suspect has not yet been identified.
