Inside, it's a different story, as you can see in the sneak peek below. Workers are still in the very early construction stage of forming interior walls within the space.

Wonder food hall must have received an incredible fusion of capital. It is expanding across Montgomery County at breakneck speed, sending fancy mailers to homes around each location, and making tremendous online and buys. The latest location is Burtonsville Crossing at 15771 Old Columbia Pike. "Coming soon" signage has been installed at the future storefront.

Burger King Burtonsville remodeling update (Photos)
Massive, sharp-looking Burger King logos have been attached to the facades of the Burtonsville location at 15703 Columbia Pike at Burtonsville Crossing. The franchisee is looksmaxing the restaurant building, and doubling the drive-thru lanes, but the new BK Sizzle store design concept is apparently not in the cards here for now. Menu boards have been installed in the drive-thru, but there was also a pile of small boulders in one lane. Don't go to bed before the King, even in Burtonsville!

Update on Haraz Coffee House in Burtonsville (Photos)
The window covers have come down at Haraz Coffee House at 15775 Old Columbia Pike at Burtonsville Crossing. We're now getting our first preview of the shop's interior, which includes another lighted logo sign. As you can see, some seating is in place. The Yemeni coffee shop has missed some previous target opening dates, but now appears to be getting very close to a debut.

Burtonsville Burger King renovations update (Photos)
Renovations on the Burger King restaurant at 15703 Columbia Pike at Burtonsville Crossing continue at a snail's pace. What were frameworks in my last update now are facades that have been painted. You can see that the drive-thru has been upgraded with dual lanes. Can't wait to get a Whopper when it's all done. Don't go to bed before the King!

A last look at Jerry's Subs & Pizza in Burtonsville (Photos)
Here stands the former Jerry's Subs & Pizza at 15547 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville. After operating for more than 3 decades of the local chain's golden age, the restaurant converted into Jeffrey's Subs & Pizza before permanently closing. A message to customers in the window notes that "business conditions have deteriorated and operational costs have increased excessively" in Montgomery County, leading to the closure.
There's good news for fans of Jerry's, however. The moribund Montgomery County economy and anti-business County Council may have sunk Jerry's here, but locations remain open in economically-vibrant Aberdeen, Accokeek, Dunkirk, and Solomon's Island. Franchises also remain available.

Haraz Coffee House update in Burtonsville
The interior fit-out of Haraz Coffee House is underway at 15775 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville. Signage has been installed above the storefront, but there's still a ways to go on the inside. Haraz was founded in 2021 in Dearborn, Michigan, by Hamzah Nasser, who wanted to share Yemeni coffee and culture with the rest of America. The reception from the public has been so warm that, in only four years, Nasser's one store has become 31 across several states. This Burtonsville Crossing location is one of 185 new stores Nasser wants to open in the coming years.

Burtonsville Burger King remodeling update (Photos)
Burger King wasn't kidding when they said they would be remodeling their Burtonsville restaurant at 15703 Columbia Pike at Burtonsville Crossing. The restaurant is currently in a very primitive state, but it's growing larger than the previous structure, particularly in the vertical direction. They promise they are "reopening soon." Will the updated building have the burger chain's new "Sizzle" store design? That remains to be seen, but many in Burtonsville just want to be able to get a flame-broiled Whopper. Don't go to bed before the King!
