The former home of Irene's Pupusas, at 11300 Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, is getting a new restaurant and lounge tenant. El Fogón de Wheaton will soon open in the space, convenient to the Metro Red Line Wheaton station. The latest venture from the folks behind the Latin hotspot Parva Lounge in Bethesda, El Fogón will serve Tex-Mex and Latin American cuisine. In addition to the dining and nightlife El Fogón aims to bring to Wheaton, they will also specialize in hosting large events, such as wedding receptions and
quinceañera celebrations.
