Freon leak evacuates Takoma Park restaurants (Photo)

A Freon leak led to the evacuation of two Takoma Park restaurants Monday. The small chemical leak cleared out Mark's Kitchen and Middle East Cuisine on Carroll Avenue during the midday. There was no fire, and no injuries were reported, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer.

Firefighters and a hazmat unit ventilated the building.
