Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh has lost the endorsement of the Maryland State Fraternal Order of Police he had in 2014. Maryland's police instead chose to endorse Republican Craig Wolf of Howard County in the attorney general race, Wolf announced Thursday.

Craig has been a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice, and Assistant State's Attorney in Allegheny County. He has also been President & CEO of the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America for more than a decade. Craig enlisted in the U.S. Army at age 40 after the 9/11 attacks, and counts the Meritorious Service Medal and Bronze Star Medal among his commendations, after serving in Operation Enduring Freedom.
It's unusual for a sitting Attorney General to lose the support of law enforcement officials. Wolf suggests the reason may be that Frosh is "more focused on partisan politics in Washington than he is on the public safety issues in our state." Frosh has attempted to take a leading role in the "resistance" to President Trump since 2016, joining or filing multiple legal actions against Trump and his administration.

DeleteI know that Montgomery County is fast becoming a gang haven and an unsafe place to live.At least parts of the County are.I know that random Ride On Buses now have Montgomery County Police riding the buses for the safety of passengers after two people were assaulted by a woman on June 29 and assaults on Ride on drivers are becoming more frequent.

And if there are 4 or fewer additional homicides in the remainder of this year, there will be fewer homicides for 2018 over 2016.
But keep wishing for more Montgomery County residents to die, just for the sake of your campaign, you ghoul.

Delete2017 - 10 homicides in first 8 months of the year followed by 10 homicides in the last 4 months of the year. Last 4 months experienced the same number of homicides as the first 8 months - effectively doubling the rate.
Why do you assume that pattern will happen exactly like it did last year? If the rate for 2018 stays the same for the rest of the year, there will be 16-17 homicides, not 21.

"Overall violent crime was up 4.1% last year, while murder increased by 8.6%, according to new FBI statistics. Last year, the FBI reported violent crime rose by 3.9% in 2015, while murder jumped by 10.8%."
"The surges appeared to be driven by increases in murders in Chicago, Baltimore and some other large cities where violence persisted even as neighboring communities reported declines."
"An analysis by the the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law found that overall crime in the U.S. had dropped due to sustained declines in property-related offenses. Burglary, vehicle theft and larceny has declined for 14 straight years. But murder increases were driven by violence in many of the country's 30-largest cities."
so a large decrease in property crime is driving down crime statistics,but actual violent crime is rising as reported by the FBI and also as reported by the Montgomery County Police department.

DeleteWhat on Earth are you talking about crime in Chicago for? The point is crime in MoCo is down, as it is almost every single year. Serious, Class I crime is down 10% so far this year and overall crime is down nearly 5%.
