Silver Spring coin shop burglary suspect caught

Montgomery County police have arrested a suspect in the burglary of a Silver Spring coin shop. Detectives say Tony Arrington, 49, of Washington, D.C., broke into Bonanza Coins on August 30, 2019, stealing about $6500 worth of coins and causing $2500 in damage to the store.

Arrington faces charges for second-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property, and theft. Detectives say they are investigating whether or not he may have been involved with other commercial burglaries in the county.
