Wheaton man arrested in Glenmont auto theft


Montgomery County police have arrested a suspect, and recovered the vehicle, in an October 4, 2024 auto theft in Glenmont. The vehicle had been left running and unlocked in the 12300 block of Georgia Avenue at 3:18 PM when it was stolen, police say. Officers recovered the vehicle, and arrested Wesley Brown, 31, of Wheaton.

Brown has been charged with felony unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, felony theft, and misdemeanor unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle. He was ordered held without bond, according to Maryland Court records. A trial has been scheduled for November 21 in Montgomery County District Court in Silver Spring.
