Montgomery County police responded to a report of a burglary at the McDonald's restaurant at 8407 Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring on August 10, 2026. Officers responding to the scene found evidence of forced entry at the restaurant. They determined that unspecified property had been stolen from inside the building. Police believe the break-in occurred sometime between 12:01 AM and 5:00 AM that morning. The suspect is described only as a Black male of unknown age.
