Bay Jewelers to open at Wheaton Plaza, Tilted Kilt now looking at January opening

Bay Jewelers is opening a location at Wheaton Plaza. The family-owned small business currently operates stores in Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, and at Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie. Those opened this year, with Lakeforest having opened exactly a week ago, and Marley Station this past July.

In other Wheaton Plaza news, the long-delayed opening of the Tilted Kilt continues to creep into the future. They are now anticipating a January opening at the earliest.

  1. Tilted Kilt won't open in January mark my word. Bar Louie started after them and now it's open. Whoever manage the construction process should get fired! They are doing really bad job!

  2. Exactly what Wheaton needs... another jewelry store. By my last count the mall already has 7(not including kiosks)!

  3. Why another Jewelry store? The mall has plenty and they are always empty. The mall management is killing the mall by leasing to so many jewelry stores that most people don't even go to. We need more stores like Banana Republic, Old Navy, the Gap, normal mainstream clothing stores, etc.

  4. I also don't understand why there are so many large jewelry stores - are they really doing THAT well that we need so many of them?

  5. What's up with Olive Garden in Wheaton Plaza(I know I know...it's Westfield Wheaton)? I thought I had read on your blog that an Olive Garden was in the works. Also is anything in the works for the former Ruby Tuesday site? Hopefully not another jewelry store...lol
