New Montgomery County liquor store opens in Aspen Hill
Montgomery County's Department of Liquor Control has opened a new County liquor store in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center, located at 13661 Connecticut Avenue. Nearly 8000 SF in size, the store features a local section stocked with products produced in Maryland. The store is open 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6:00 PM on Sundays. Enjoy your government monopoly liquor!

I actually do like my govt monopoly liquor. MoCo's liquor prices are far cheaper than DC's and VA's (which is state-run, rather than county). MoCo needs to get out of the beer distribution business, though, as that somewhat limits selection.
ReplyDeleteI get much cheaper beer on road trips in Virginia, and I can get it at convenience and grocery stores. In singles, too, instead of having to buy 6-packs only to find out I don't like it.
DeleteNot to mention Southern Maryland is ahead of us with drive-thru liquor sales. Humiliating for the MoCo cartel.
DeleteDrive-thru liquor store? That's odd, even for southern MD.
