Olney construction update: Chick-fil-A (Photos)

Construction is progressing on the future Chick-fil-A at 18115 Georgia Avenue in Olney. I believe this will be the first Chick-fil-A in Montgomery County to have a drive-thru, which would allow me to end my boycott of Chick-fil-A.

I almost ended it to try their special BBQ sandwich a couple of months ago, but turned the car around upon seeing a packed restaurant and parking lot at Montrose Crossing. Ridiculous. Went to Taco Bell instead. Most fast food restaurants make 40-60% of their revenue at the drive-thru window, so it's bizarre to see a pad site restaurant without one.

I believe that's the drive-thru
window opening just to the left
of that teal-colored dumpster

  1. Why are you boycotting Chick-Fil-A, Robert?

    1. He once made the ridiculous argument that the downtown Silver Spring location should have a drive-thru.

    2. It's a good thing that Dyer doesn't live in Prince George's County. It's too progressive for him - http://hyattsvillelife.com/district-council-denies-chick-fil-a-drive-through/

    3. 7:09: Charles County is too progressive for MoCo, having convenient drive-thru liquor stores. Meanwhile, we're in the Stone Age of prohibition while our "leaders" claim to be seeking young professionals to move to MoCo. Sad!

  3. Let's be honest, the rockville pike location should have had a drive thru.

Silver Spring would be difficult given the location.

You're expressing an opinion, not making a statement of fact.
