Silver Strings remains under construction at 8630 Colesville Road. You may recall this was a beauty supply shop previously. A very modest-sized patio is being added to the storefront, as you can see here. The restaurant and live music venue is expected to open in early 2018.
I read this is from the same people who own Zed's Café around the corner on Georgia Avenue. They do a good job there so hopefully this will be a good addition to this area, formerly nicknamed "skid row" (my how times have changed for that strip!).
ReplyDeleteI hope the old concrete pavers are replaced at some point. It's the last remnant of the old "skid row" days - and not in a good way.
