Wheaton Wendy's closed for renovations

Wendy's at Wheaton Plaza is temporarily closed for renovations. Customers are being redirected to other Wendy's locations in Aspen Hill and Colesville. However, the Wendy's on Nicholson Lane and at Rockville Pike and 1st Street in Rockville are arguably more convenient to Wheaton than Colesville. Don't miss out on Wendy's' Baconfest this month.

    1. It's amazing how many scoops I post that were slept on by MoCo cartel controlled media outlets are immediately met by a comment claiming x has actually happened months ago.

      Give me a break.

How come I never see you commenting on cartel websites when they report Fat Fingers has opened a month after I did?

The crunch always gives you away.

    2. Getting so offended after some says "little late on this..." just displays your personality, not the commenters. And stop calling your reporting on this a "scoup" - 2 months after construction starts and close to its finish date isn't a "scoop" Robert.

    3. Robert, there are so many things I disagree with you but I check your site daily. You have broken so many news and thank you for that. Don’t fall for folks who are trying to destroy you.

    4. 1:46: Wrong - you are flat out lying to claim the Wendy's has been closed for 2 months. Total BS. Fast food restaurants don't close for months to renovate.

Breaking the story about Wendy's closing for renovations is indeed a scoop, moron. A good long stay on Riker's Island will help you improve your perception of time. I definitely see orange jumpsuits in your future.

"If you don't stop lying about me, I'm going to start telling the truth about you."

  2. Haters gonna hate I guess.

Good report. Looking forward to the new Wendy's!

  3. It's definitely been closed for at least a month, 2 months wouldn't surprise me. Still, the news is appreciated, looking forward to hearing when it reopens.

      LOL - nope.

    2. Drove by the Wendy’s today - guess what - it’s opened!! The construction all complete. According to Dyer they must have added a new frontage and new interior all in 2 days!! Will Dyer admit he didn’t scoop anything or just delete this post?

    3. 8:34: It absolutely was a scoop - no one else reported it before me, and the restaurant was closed for days, not months as you falsely claimed.

  4. days to tear down half the exterior, new floor to ceiling windows, new roof, new cladding, new signage, AND renovate the interior? Are you just one of those people that insists that you are right when the truth stares you in the face? If you're going to post a blog and act like a journalist, at least admit when you're wrong.

    1. 9:52: Wrong again. Some fast food restaurants are built from the ground up in 48 hours when it's a corporate construction job.

Second, this Wendy's was open the last time I was on that side of Wheaton Plaza, which was not "months" ago.

If you're going to be a Boy Friday for the County Council and act like a troll, at least admit when you've been destroyed by Robert Dyer for your total lies.

    2. It's actually easier to build a new building from the ground up, than to perform major renovations on an existing building. That's why there are so many tear-downs in this region.

  5. 10:31AM There is no "legitimate news service" covering all of the parts of MoCo that Dyer does on a daily basis. So, Dyer has founded his own news service.

  6. There is rampant plagiarism of Dyer. Mainly because the game is to pretend he doesn't exist and that makes it really difficult to properly source him :)

    1. This makes absolutely no sense.

  7. I live by the Wheaton Wendy's. It was indeed closed for at least one month.

  8. I went to that Wendy's today. I asked the staff, they said that they were closed almost two months. I'll take their word over Dyer's.

In the meantime, Dyer needs to update this article to reflect that this restaurant has re-opened. His outdated news is potentially losing them business.

    BTW, Wendy's "4 for $4" is great!

  9. So we have three witnesses - Brian, @ July 30, 2019 at 11:42 AM, @, July 31, 2019 at 8:37 AM, as well as the employees of that Wendy's WHO ACTUALLY WORK THERE, who state that this Wendy's had been closed for close to two months

Yet we're supposed to believe Dyer.

    1. 9:52: "Two months?" Total BS. No, we haven't heard from actual employees, just you making up dialogue. You were triggered so badly by my Wendy's scoop, and a barrage of other scoops reported across my network last week, that you've been on a psychotic rampage ever since.

      Total nutjob.
