PJ's Coffee of New Orleans to open in downtown Silver Spring

"The best coffee in New Orleans for the last 30 years" is coming to downtown Silver Spring. PJ's Coffee of New Orleans will open a store in the new Core apartment building at 8621 Georgia Avenue. Founded by Phyllis Jordan in the Carrollton neighborhood of New Orleans in 1978, PJ's uses only the top 1% of Arabica coffee beans from sources in Colombia, Sumatra, Ethiopia, and Papua New Guinea, among others.

PJ's is a unique get for Core, as it will be the chain's first Mid-Atlantic location; its only other northeast location is in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and only the third on the East Coast.
