Takoma Park police investigate shots-fired incident at Toatley-Fraser Park

Takoma Park police responded to a 911 call regarding gunfire in the area of Toatley-Fraser Park at 8330 Eastridge Avenue at 2:00 AM this morning, December 1, 2022. Searching the area, they located shell casings in the park, and in the 8300 block of Roanoke Avenue. The latter casing was believed to be from a second shots-fired incident reported a few hours before this one.

Officers also found that picnic tables in the park had been vandalized. Three men were seen running down the street after the gunfire was heard, and were described by a 911 caller as being in their late teens or early twenties.

Investigation of this case and the one from November 30 are ongoing. If you have any information about either incident, contact police at 301.270.1100 and refer to case number #220052956.
