Wendy's gears up for breakfast in Wheaton

Wendy's will begin serving breakfast nationwide on March 2, 2020. The Wendy's at 11030 Veirs Mill Road is getting ready for the big day that will be here soon. Located by Wheaton Plaza, the restaurant is hyping the new meal, and hiring breakfast-shift staff, promising "next day pay." A separate poster asks, "You Up for This?," one of the Wendy's slogans for the new breakfast service.

The new Wendy's breakfast menu will include the Montgomery County Council-enraging Breakfast Baconator, croissant and biscuit sandwiches, seasoned potatoes (kind of a fat fry version of hash browns), a Frosty-ccino coffee beverage, and even a Sausage, Egg & Cheese Burrito. Wendy's will certainly give rival chains a run for their money in the sandwich department, but with no pancakes nor a McDonald's Big Breakfast-style platter on the Wendy's menu, the Golden Arches will retain some advantages.

Wheaton Plaza Wendy's to host grand-reopening celebration, Carter's hiring

Wendy's has reopened at Wheaton Plaza, after temporarily closing for renovations. It looks very modern and fresh compared to the previous brick design. They've even got a fresh layer of asphalt in the drive-thru. The corporate office needs to update the national website, which is still saying the restaurant is closed. Annoy the Montgomery County Council and order a Baconator today.

Wendy's at Wheaton Plaza is temporarily closed for renovations. Customers are being redirected to other Wendy's locations in Aspen Hill and Colesville. However, the Wendy's on Nicholson Lane and at Rockville Pike and 1st Street in Rockville are arguably more convenient to Wheaton than Colesville. Don't miss out on Wendy's' Baconfest this month.

Silver Spring Wendy's to become a Dunkin' Donuts

Shocker! The Wendy's restaurant at 13804 Outlet Drive in the Briggs Chaney area of Silver Spring is going to undergo a major transformation. In fact, it is going to be converted into a Dunkin' Donuts store.

Hopefully, it will retain the drive-thru as Dunkin' Donuts has done at another vacant fast food location in Rockville. In the future, you'll celebrate a purchase at Sport Chevrolet with a Coolatta instead of a Frosty.

WENDY'S STEAKHOUSE JR. CHEESEBURGER REVIEW (VIDEO)

Wendy's Steakhouse Jr. Cheeseburger has arrived in Wheaton and Aspen Hill. Before you start thinking about a 1/3 pound Wagyu beef patty, that's not the kind of Steakhouse Wendy's is talking about. This is the standard Dave's Hot and Juicy 100% junior beef patty, with Steakhouse seasoning added.

A garlic aioli finishes the steakhouse theme, along with other standard toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion, and American cheese.

WENDY'S FLATBREAD REVIEW (VIDEO)

Here's something new to try for dinner tonight: Wendy's new Asiago Ranch Grilled Chicken Flatbread sandwich. I stopped by Wendy's last night to try it out myself.

Here's my review, including a zoomed-in closeup of all the fillings in the sandwich: lettuce, salad greens, bacon, tomatoes, grilled chicken breast, Asiago cheese and ranch dressing.

Don't forget the artisan bread, which is one of the strong points in Wendy's attempt to challenge upscale competitors like Panera Bread.
