Wingstop coming to Takoma Park this fall

Wingstop will open a Takoma Park location in the Takoma Langley Crossroads Center at 7659 New Hampshire Avenue. The restaurant, which specializes in chicken wings served in a retro aviation-themed setting, will open this fall. This 1350 SF location follows the chain's successful arrival in Aspen Hill in July 2014.

The long-awaited opening of Wingstop in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center finally happened. The store is now open in the retail center at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Aspen Hill Road.

Wingstop features both traditional and boneless wings, available with 10 sauces, including the most popular - Original Hot, Lemon Pepper and Garlic Parmesan. They also serve their own fries, hand-cut from 100% Idaho potatoes. Owner Dan Remaklus says, “Wingstop is rapidly increasing its presence in the region, and it’s great to be a part of that expansion. Everyone in the area is invited to stop by and try out the best wings in town.”

ASPEN HILL WINGSTOP SHOOTING FOR JUNE OPENING (PHOTOS)

The biggest question around the Aspen Hill Shopping Center for the first half of 2014 has been, "When is Wingstop opening?" Clearly, there have been delays along the way. Yesterday, a Wingstop representative said that the restaurant hopes to open in June.

There's quite a ways to go on the interior, but let's see what they can do over the coming weeks. The Richardson, Texas-based chicken wing chain has over 600 locations nationwide, and is one of the leading franchises in the category.
