Lighting accents installed at Ellsworth Place (Photos)

The modern, futuristic design shown in renderings of the Ellsworth Place mall renovation, which appeared to show portions of the exterior lit at night, is now becoming reality. In addition to the already-installed giant video screens, the supports and columns now light up, making the mall hard to miss at the corner of Colesville Road and Fenton Street.

  1. I'm not fond of it, as the light is so bright it feels like daytime there.

  2. Agree...It's too bright. I feel bad for the residents of the apartments across the street--it's like the Kenny Rogers chicken Seinfeld episode.

  3. The lighting above the restaurants and stores on Ellsworth is awful.

  4. I don't mind it in strips like the entrance pictured above, but agree that the 10'x15' blocks of light above the restaurants/Michaels entrance are just crazy.
