Wheaton men who allegedly kidnapped and raped 12-year-old girl are illegal immigrants

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have now confirmed that two residents of Elkins Street in Wheaton who have been charged in the kidnapping and rape of a 12-year-old are indeed in the United States illegally. Fox 5's Tom Fitzgerald reports ICE has placed a detainer on the two men, who are still in the Montgomery County jail at the moment.

  3. Don't know what the point of the blog post is; it's not like their status has something to do with the fact they're (allegedly) rapists. Except that immigrants (both illegal and legal) are far less likely to commit violent crime than native-born residents, so I guess that makes this case slightly more interesting/rare.
