Silver Spring construction update: Central (Photos)

The construction of Central remains on-schedule at 8455 Fenton Street in downtown Silver Spring. The Grosvenor Americas mixed-use project is scheduled for delivery in Summer 2017. A total of 243 residential units, and 17,000 SF of retail/restaurant space, will be located steps away from the world-class Silver Spring Library and future Purple Line station.

You can see the building facade has gone from a stark white in my last update to a chocolate brown. Window installation has greatly advanced, as well.

I like this corner of
the building that faces
the intersection

  1. Nice pics at dusk. Can't wait until this is finished, residents are spending money in DTSS and the streetscape is complete (finally getting rid of the power poles & wires) and trees installed. I sure hope they do a better job at landscaping than the low-bid job the county did on the library landscaping next door. The quality and maintenance is awful.

Any word on what the retail tenants might be?

    1. HR Retail is handling leasing. Currently, all spaces are available.

  2. any idea on the rental cost? are utilities included?

when does the church construction start ?
