Sign installed at City Taste in downtown Silver Spring (Photos)

The sign is up over the future storefront of City Taste restaurant, located at 930 Wayne Avenue in downtown Silver Spring. There's still work to be done on the interior of the restaurant, however.

This space used to belong to Pho Hoa Binh 2. City Taste will offer a fusion of Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine, including sushi.

  1. "Asian Cuisine"?  What a joke. Pick one, please.

    1. ...why? Most restaurants serve multiple cuisines, including most Asian restaurants. With Asian Bistro closing last year and Mandarin being closed since their roof fire a couple months back, this place will do well if they can execute.

    2. I'm not a fan of the Asian mix either and think they'd be better off with just choosing one type of Asian food they'd serve.

With that said, yes, with Mandarin gone, Asian Bistro closing last year, and now Thai Market closing there is certainly a hole in the market. And since this place gets little foot traffic, a restaurant that is geared toward home delivery is important to its feasibility.
