Montgomery County officials say the government office building project at Wheaton's public parking Lot 13 is 77% complete. Rooftop mechanicals have been hoisted up to the penthouse level for installation. Reedie Drive has been converted to a one-way westbound street, and glass has been installed in the ground floor retail space, which is available for lease.
The fact that this building is 80% complete and they've announced nothing about the 3-4 retail spots is concerning. Those spaces are supposed to be the new jewel retail spots, particularly since they cancelled the adjacent apartment building that would have had additional retail.
