Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the Hillandale area of Silver Spring, just north of the Capital Beltway, on Sunday afternoon, January 1, 2022. The carjacking was reported in a commercial parking lot in the 10200 block of New Hampshire Avenue at 3:18 PM Sunday.
