Umami Ramen Sushi & Dumplings is "coming soon" to downtown Silver Spring, according to a banner posted on the front of its future home. It will fill the space recently vacated by City Taste Asian Cuisine at 930 Wayne Avenue. Coincidentally, Umami Burger founder Adam Fleischman grew up in Silver Spring, has hinted at plans to open several locations in the DMV, and obtained trademark rights to use the name "Umami" within the United States twelve years ago for his burger chain. I wonder what he thinks about the name of this restaurant...
