Should a drive-thru Starbucks be built on this vacant lot in downtown Silver Spring?


A vacant lot at 8111 Fenton Street in downtown Silver Spring is available for commercial ground lease. The monthly rate would be $10,000, according to the listing by Larry Rosen Commercial & Investment Realty Associates, LLC of Bethesda. Several development options have been drawn up by an architect the property owner hired. They include a small retail center with surface parking, and a drive-thru Starbucks as possibilities.
