Evangadi Sports Bar and Lounge opening in Silver Spring

Evangadi Sports Bar and Lounge is opening soon at 953 Bonifant Street in downtown Silver Spring. "Evan" means "night", and "gadi" is "dance" in the Ethiopian Hamar language. That ethnic theme is extended to some of the promotional artwork for the establishment, as well. Evangadi's Facebook page in August promised a September opening.

    We'll see. This place has been "coming soon" for like a year, including MoCo tagging it with a "stop work," presumably for not having permits or not complying with said permits. Luckily, the new Mix Bar and Grill has about ten 50-55" TV screens so that's where I've been going for sports, along with Firestation 1.
